Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide support for students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND), both individually and in group settings.Extend beyond teaching to act as an individual mentor for students, ensuring your availability for any challenges they may face and handling confidential matters with discretion.Develop, deliver, and assess inspiring learning programs to ensure a high-quality teaching experience for the students.Carry out pre-planned activities to help students achieve their potential.Expect to dedicate time outside of regular working hours.Support and advise trainee assistantsYou will be asked to cover in case of a teacher's absence.
Requirements:
Must have a NVQ3 qualification or HLTA qualification or equivalentMust have at least 5 years experience as a teaching/learning assistant or classroom assistantGreat communication skills with the ability to work as a team for various different situationsPassion for working with children with SENAble to adapt teaching methods for different groups of children
