Here within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) we focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation.
We're recruiting for a HMO and Licencing Co-ordinator to join our Property Team where you will be responsible for ensuring all properties across the portfolio have the required mandatory licencing in place to comply with the AASC contract, and Housing Act (2004). Collaborating with Landlords, Field Teams and Local Authorities to ensure statutory requirements surrounding licencing are met and ensure enforcement notices are actioned or challenged accordingly. You will keep the data and Management Information up-to-date and providing regular, timely and accurate reporting. You will collaborate with IT and the Business Improvement Team to identify innovations to improve the licencing process.
You will need to hit the ground running on joining us, so it is essential you have strong knowledge of property licencing requirements, knowledge of the required certification for licencing applications and comprehensive understanding of regulatory and statutory residential property standards. We are looking for a self-motivated person with a pro-active approach to work, experience of managing high volume workloads whilst delivering successful outputs. What you'll need to do the job
- Strong knowledge of property licencing requirements (Mandatory, Additional and Selective Licencing).
- Knowledge of the required certification for licencing applications, such as Gas Safe and Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs).
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and statutory residential property standards. Possess a good working knowledge of Local and National residential property legislation. (Housing Act 2004, Homes Act 2018).
- K nowledge of interrogating Fire Risk Assessments
- Interpreting floor plans to ensure maximum occupancy in properties
You must enjoy working as part of a team, with experience and demonstrable abilities to analyse quality and efficiency. You will utilise your excellent organisational, analytical and thinking skills whilst paying attention detail to detail and maintaining accuracy at all times.
