Sense are currently recruiting for a Holiday & Events Registered Manager, to join our dynamic, forward thinking team based in Birmingham!
As Holiday & Events Registered Manager, you will be the Registered Manager for Sense’s Holidays Programme and its team of staff. This is a high-quality project for children, young people, and adults with complex disabilities, enabling them to have a safe and fun holiday with likeminded peers. Additionally, you will work across other break projects within the Operational Programmes team as and when needed, and ensure each project is conducted in a safe and effective manner, in accordance with Sense policies and procedures, and meets measurable outcomes.
You will also have the fantastic opportunity to support 3-4 Sense holidays (approx. 18 nights) per year!
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver an exciting programme of Holidays effectively, safely and on budget
- Work with key staff at Sense to ensure Holidays meet our strategy and add value to our programmes
- Manage recruitment and training of sessional staff and volunteers ensure they are effectively supported by the Holidays team
- Coordinate support for the wider Operational Programmes team events
- Ensure effective monitoring and reporting of participant information, KPI’s and impact of the programme compliant with GDPR, OFSTED and Sense policies
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across our holidays programme
- Contribute to an on-call system
- The post holder will be required to work weekends and evenings on occasion particularly during operational periods

Your required skills and experiences:
- Experience of Managing Ofsted or CQC compliant service and evidence of meeting those standards
- Experience of managing a team which deliver a high quality and reliable programme
- Experience of recruiting, managing and supporting teams of staff and volunteers
- Experience of working with people with complex needs and their families
- Managing safeguarding requirements of a programme, support planning and risk assessments
- Ability to keep accurate and up to date records of all service-related activity and to ensure effective day to day administration of a project or service
- Demonstrable commitment to equal opportunities and diversity
- Ability to work flexible hours including regular evenings and weekends
- Able to travel nationally on a regular basis
- Full driving licence
