Hotel Night Porter

FULL-TIME POSITION

4 nights on and 4 nights off, rolling rota/ shared schedule with another full-time Night Porter.

PART-TIME POSITION

1-2 nights per week, mostly Friday/ Saturday or Saturday/ Sunday. Supporting other team members on our busy weekends. Sickness and holiday cover is also required.

Working through the night from 11.30 pm to 8.30 am you will take over from the Duty Manager and look after the hotel during the night whilst our guests are sleeping. This is a permanent position paying NMW +£0.50p per hour when fully trained and based

Carrying out regular fire security checks throughout the building, setting up meeting rooms and cleaning the lounge and reception areas.

Assisting guests with some basic food and drink options as required and printing computer reports and circulating for first thing in the morning.

Cleaning of the public areas is undertaken during the night shift including maintaining the pool and spa area and the level of the chemicals in the water to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for guests of the hotel and Spa members.

Full training is provided including handling emergency situations and fire evacuations should they be required.

The department operates between 11.30 pm and 8.30 am.

This is a responsible role and would suit those comfortable working on their own. Some previous experience of night work or security would be a distinct advantage.

Live-in accommodation spaces may be available.

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour
