Reporting to Operations Manager or Reception Manager, your main duties will involve working effectively and efficiently in a polite and professional manner as part of the reception team at Statham Lodge Hotel. To include:
- Working proactively as part of the front desk operation to ensure consistently high guest satisfaction
- Managing the reception desk, answering all telephone calls, dealing with check ins and the general operation of the reception area.
- Responsible for ensuring that all guests are looked after, for them to be happy and make their stay comfortable in all aspects
- Assist all guests at reception, whenever required.
- Answer incoming telephone calls quickly and courteously.
- Use the PMS system to input reservations when required, to check in and check out guests effectively
- Assist to answer queries put forward by guests.
- Prepare Registration card for check ins
- Maintain a tidy reception and lounge area always
- Efficiently use the PMS system to maintain all necessary information up to date
- Prepare the shift closure functionality to ensure an efficient close of finance shifts during the day
- Assist with and report any maintenance issues to the Reception Manager or Operations Manager or the maintenance department as per the set system
- Maintain an efficient handover system with the other shifts to ensure a smooth operation of the hotel
- Closely monitor and assist with ensuring the safety and security operation of the hotel
- Assist with resolving any guest complaints in a timely manner and to a satisfactory standard or report the issue immediately to immediate superior to solve
- Assist the Reception Manager or Operations Manager by preparing the necessary reports required for operational requirements
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company departments/functions
- Assist the F&B department from time to time as per the request of Operations Manager or Reception Manager
You may from time to time be required to undertake additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager, for example to cover sick leave, holidays, during busy periods or alternatively any morning or afternoon shifts requested by your superiors within reasons.
