RECEPTIONIST ROLE
Stirrups is currently looking to recruit a Full Time Receptionist to join our young, fun office team. This newly created position is to ensure we are ready to continue the growth we have seen over the past year!
Job Description
This is not your typical Hotel Receptionist role! Working from our main Reception Desk, its hands on, super customer facing and incredibly varied and will offer experience in all areas of the hotel. Day to day responsibilities will include:
· Being the face of Stirrups! Our receptionists are the first face the customer sees and last before they depart so its up to you ensuring all our guests have the most fabulous welcome, stay and departure!
· Managing the hotel bedroom availability, taking bookings on email and phone and completing the daily check in and check outs with a fab smile!
· Answer any incoming calls and deal with the nature of the call in a professional manner.
· Be confident to upsell the hotel facilities where appropriate.
· Liaise with the housekeeping department regarding arrivals and departures and confirm when rooms are ready to be occupied.
· Ensure excellence in customer service levels in all front office areas.
· Liase with Management regularly to help pull together function paperwork
· Manage the bookings for our Restaurant, Winter Pods or Summer Cabanas, dealing with any queries or guest special requests and keeping the Restaurant Team informed.
Attributes
- A Good understanding of written & spoken English.
- Competent with MS Word & Excel and comfortable learning our other computers systems (training given)
- Proven team working skills and flexibility.
- Excellent communication and people skills and self-motivated.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Passionate about customer satisfaction and service
- Ideally worked in similar establishment or comes from a Hotel background
We are offering a competitive salary plus share of tips & uniform & 30% discount for all staff across the entire hotels offering. 20 days paid holiday + bank holidays.
As we are not regularly supplied by public transport, having a car and driving license would be best.
Hours of work
Rotas will be on a shift basis to include the following shifts:
- Early – 7am – 3.00pm
- Late – 3.00pm – Finish (11.00pm normally)
- The role does require you to be able to work weekends and bank holidays if required.
