We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. As part of a small team our reception positions are heavily customer focused, with consistent face to face interactions with guests and members of the public. The ideal candidate will be able to build a strong rapport with guests and ensure they are looked after for the duration of their stay.
Role Responsibilities:
. Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner
. Check guests both in and out of the hotel effectively and efficiently, ensuring that they are well looked after and are provided information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
. Assist with reservations and manage room availability
. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
. Process payments and maintain accurate records
. Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure guest satisfaction
Experience:
. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
. Must have excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
. Familiarity with hotel operations and guest services is preferred
. Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus but not required for the role
. The candidate must have weekend and evening availability for hotel operations.
