Job description
Working in calibration with other team members, working together to meet NHS cleanliness and continuously achieving high standards; 1. Clean, dust, vacuum or mop all accessible areas of the Hospice including all clinical areas, all offices, communal spaces, including kitchens and toilets. 2. Empty all waste bins / baskets including recycling bins where applicable.
3. Conduct exit cleans when patient and relative rooms become vacant. 4. Check and replenish supplies of hand towels, soap, toilet rolls, washing up liquids and all sanitizing dispensers throughout our buildings.
5. Replenish cleaning trolley daily, ensuring to change mop heads, and replenishing cloths. 6. Maintain an accurate record of cleaning using the daily cleaning schedule, highlighting any health and safety or maintenance issues.
7. Check cleaning stock levels and order necessary materials when required. 8. Undertake deep cleaning of high risk areas as guided by the Deep Clean schedule.
9. Check and record all fridge temperatures on a daily basis. 10. Keep the laundry area clean and tidy, maintaining linen stocks, ordering patient linen on a weekly basis to meet requirements.
11. Act as point of contact for House Keeping volunteers 12. Act as an infection control champion 13. Comply with relevant Hospice policies including Infection Control, Health & Safety etc.
14. Undertake all Housekeeping duties in accordance with the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 15. Any other relevant duties as requested by your line manager, or senior members of the clinical or management teams. Code of Conduct for all Employees 1.
