Job Title: Housekeeper

Location: St. Michaels House, St Michael's Road, Sittingbourne ME10 3DW

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 11:00

20 hours per week

Pay: Band 2 - £11.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

About the Trust

Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is a Mental Health Trust and, given the nature this post, may include exposure to distressing information and circumstances.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Hoovering

· Toilet cleaning

· Mopping floors daily

· High and low dusting

· Kitchen daily cleaning

· Cleaning cupboard, keeping trolley clean and tidy daily

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

• An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
• A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Knowledge of COSHH & colour coding equipment

· Good attention to detail

· Ability to be on feet for whole shift with some bending & stretching involved

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

• An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
• A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

• Experience in a similar role (though full training given)
• This role is in Mental Health, Out patients areas so please be aware and comfortable with this.
• An understanding of COSHH use of chemicals safely.
