As The Idle Rocks & St Mawes hotel Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that rooms and communal areas remain clean, safe, and tidy for guests.
You'll help to create a warm and homely environment. Keeping the hotels clean and safe is no small task, which is why the role of a Housekeeping Assistant is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a welcoming environment. This means you'll have a direct impact on our guests and all the staff working to support them.

· Deliver the highest standards of service to our guests consistently, in line with the SOP's and brand philosophies.
· Build genuine rapport with our guests to deliver unique levels of service whilst remaining professional at all times.
· Support your colleagues but ensuring completion of individual and group tasks to the correct and highest standards.
· Ensure professional behaviour to all people associated with the business at all times including suppliers, and other businesses in the area particularly within the local community.
· Greeting guests and responding to queries.
· Changing bed linen and making beds.
· Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
· Sweeping and mopping floors.
· Vacuuming carpets.
· Dusting and polishing furniture.
· Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
· Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar.
· Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
· Work to the checklists providing in your department, understanding and supporting their importance to the structure of the operation.
· Ensure you are confident with your service and product knowledge, be interested, ask questions, be enthusiastic about learning more. This includes not only the hotel bedrooms and the local are, all other related subjects to the business.
· Be a team player – understand your colleagues role and tasks and how your action influence the rest of the operation.
· Support in maintaining the staff accommodation at change over.

Pay: £11.80 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 22 per week
