Housing Administrator in Ashford required for an immediate start!
This role would particularly suit someone from a housing or homelessness background however this isn't essential and full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- To work effectively with the Allocation Team to ensure that there is an adequate supply of temporary accommodation available for those households that the service has a statutory housing duty to provide accommodation too.
- Coordinate the sign up of a temporary accommodation placement ensuring that the various partners, teams and officers are advised of placements and closures / movement.
- Ensure that all housing benefits and other welfare forms and / or referrals are completed and ensure that all supporting documentation from the applicants has been received and verified.
- Set up the rent account and ensure that the applicants are provided with rent account details with a full explanation of what is expected in terms of their rental payments.
- Maintain accurate electronic records/ information regarding properties, landlords including general contact information and always providing detailed reports as requested by management
Person fit:
- Strong Admin and IT experience, to include MS Word & Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and you must be happy to deal with clients with an empathetic and tactful manner.
- Able to cope in a fast paced environment working under pressure.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and this is a temporary position for approximately 4 weeks with the possibility to be extended.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
