Elevate projects are working in partnership with a valued client to appoint a Housing Advisor to join there Housing options and Homelessness team. Key responsibilities:
Face to face working with customers.
Day drop in for homeless, and offering telephone advice.
Providing direct one-one advice
Attend professional meetings
Visit supported housing applicants
Supporting applicants to work in partnership with multiple agencies
Create personal housing plans for each applicant based on assessment.
Experience's and key skills required:
A good understanding of homelessness legislation, including the homeless reduction act.
A wider knowledge of social housing, welfare reform and local government.
Excellent IT skills
Ability to manage complex and varied work load, in occasional demanding times.
Great communication with applicant, landlords and professionals
Ability to motivate applicants to take active steps to prevent their own homelessness or find alternative accommodation.
