As experienced Housing Enforcement Officer, you responsible for delivering a responsive and proactive service to tackle hate crime, persistent tenancy breaches, neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
Working alongside housing management colleagues, you will make and maintain effective and trusted relationships with internal and external agencies whilst managing priority caseloads.
Your next role
- undertake thorough investigations, maintain up to date records, train colleagues across Tenancy Services with regards to ASB, assist in the development of ASB projects with other Housing Enforcement Officers, and manager
- be conversant in dealing with challenging behaviour and will have a sound working knowledge of civil and criminal legislation in order to advise managers and housing officers
- be resilient with demonstrable experience of working in a similar role, with proven knowledge of ASB legislation with experience of preparing court cases and witness statements for County Court hearings
- be an excellent communicator and an even better negotiator, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
This role involves home visiting and attending meetings throughout Swindon, therefore an ability to travel throughout the Borough is required.
