Title: Housing Litigation Solicitor 1+ PQE
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Contract: Full time permanent with hybrid working
Location: South London
Key Responsibilities of the Housing Litigation Solicitor:
- Advising and representing clients on all aspects of housing law, including social housing, private rented sector, and leasehold disputes
- Handling a varied caseload of Housing Litigation matters, including disrepair claims, possessions, civil injunctions, EPA claims, ASB and fraud
- Conducting advocacy in courts and tribunals as required
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, referrers, and stakeholders
Desirable Skills and Requirements of the Housing Litigation Solicitor:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 1 PQE in Housing Litigation
- Excellent knowledge of housing law and procedure, including legal aid funding
- Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Commitment to providing access to justice and social welfare for vulnerable clients
