Job Title: Housing Services Officer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £24,000 per annum

About the Role:

We're recruiting a Housing Services Officer to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in delivering customer-focused housing services across supported accommodation. Working closely with internal and external teams, you'll ensure the smooth management of services, meeting high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor lease and service level agreements with partner agencies on a daily basis
• Ensure occupancy, rent collection, and arrears targets are met through property lettings and refurbishments
• Provide practical housing assistance and information to customers throughout their involvement with the service
• Assist in the management of scheme allocations procedures
• Monitor and maintain health and safety standards in properties
• Oversee reactive repairs and planned maintenance to ensure high standards and cost-effectiveness
• Promote customer involvement and communication regarding housing management policies
• Undertake day-to-day housing management duties, including cleanliness maintenance and site inspections
• Address issues of anti-social behavior within services and communicate tenant responsibilities effectively
• Maintain good links with the local neighborhood and agencies/partner organizations
• Interpret financial information related to rents, charges, and contracts
• Produce accurate and timely reports using IT skills and Microsoft applications

About You:

• Working knowledge of legislation regarding Supporting People
• Experience working with a wide range of vulnerable clients
• Ability to keep accurate and compliant records
• Previous experience in housing management duties
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Initiative-driven, flexible, and creative
• High level of professional integrity and a person-centered approach
• Methodical and accurate in tasks
