Primary Responsibilities
- Support HPC architectures (CPU & GPU compute and/or storage components), in collaboration with the IT Operations and sourcing team.
- Perform benchmarks to evaluate and validate potential HPC solutions
- Act as a high-level expert who can deal with escalated HPC issues
- Ensure optimal deployment in production environment
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst our operations teams.
Skills and knowledge required
- Extensive expertise in HPC compute and storage, in both hardware (CPUs, accelerators, interconnects, storage, etc.) and software (Linux components, HPC tools and parallel file systems)
- Strong background in Linux and its ecosystems
- Deep knowledge of HPC technologies, including MPI, OpenMP, Infiniband, Lustre, and Slurm.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Singularity
- Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, Infiniband, and RDMA.
- Experience working in a multi-vendor, multi-cloud environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
