Hpru Research Administrator

The role

The NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Behavioural Science and Evaluation (HPRU BSE) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Administrator to provide excellent administrative support to the HPRU BSE team. The role includes supporting the NIHR BSE Co-director, PIs and their research teams, acts as a first point of contact for enquiries, and a liaison point for all relevant internal and external contacts.

The NIHR HPRU in Behavioural Science and Evaluation is a partnership between the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and University of Bristol, in collaboration with the Medical Research Council (MRC) Biostatistics Unit at University of Cambridge and the University of the West of England. The HPRU undertakes high quality research that is used by UKHSA to keep the public safe from current and emerging public health threats.

What will you be doing?

You will provide high level administrative support, including PA support and complex diary management for the director, arranging meetings in person and online, managing emails, processing financial tasks, and organising national and international travel and accommodation.

You should apply if

You have excellent organisational and administrative skills along with a high standard of IT skills and the ability to interact with various office systems. Well-developed communication skills are essential as you will be dealing with a wide range of colleagues on a daily basis.

Work pattern: Part-time/ 0.6 FTE

Salary: £26,444 - £29,605 per annum pro rata

School/Unit: Bristol Medical School

Shift pattern: 21 hours per week
