Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting for an amazing business in Harrogate who are looking to appoint to a HR Advisor role on a fixed term contract, initially for a minimum of 12 - 18 months. The client has advised that there is a really strong chance the role could go permanent due to organisational growth.
The role requires an emphasis on providing a strictly confidential service to the HR Manager, Senior Management and site teams within the business. An ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently is key to delivering objectives and meeting deadlines. The post holder must be self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision and have excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will? provide full HR & operational support to the sites and the HR Manager. The role is to ensure that the business delivers HR support and guidance that meets all necessary and legal statutory requirement and ensures sites run efficiently and effectively.
Your duties would include:
- Monitor and maintain HR management system ensuring current records, users and new starters are up to date.
- Provide confidential HR support and advice to all sites for HR issues, attending sites regularly as required to attend investigation, disciplinary or any other HR meetings.
- Resolve with the Site Managers any failings of HR at sites which require addressing.
- Carry out audits of HR systems and records to ensure compliance with ISO and QMS requirements. Carry out HR reviews, as directed by the Chief Operating Officer.
- Assist with the co-ordination of HR services and advice for all sites to ensure adherence with regulatory, statutory and contractual obligations.
- Provide HR overviews for new business.
- Be aware of current and relevant employment law - including, but not limited to, disciplinary and grievance procedures; equal opportunities; redundancies; paternity pay and maternity rights; TUPE etc.
- Annually review the staff handbook content and issue; contracts and issuing of written offers of employment and contractual terms.
- Support HR Manager to create, develop and deliver HR Policies and HR stationary templates.
- Maintain employee records and management information.
- Management of the DBS process - ensuring all are carried out and effective before employees commence employment.
- Contribute to the company wide strategy and growth plan.
- Monitor and maintain new company induction programme.
- Ensure set deadlines, reporting/financial etc. are achieved.
- Maintain records of central management and Site Manager leave.
- General filing, keeping personnel files up to date and keeping the archive system in order.
This role is ideal for the CIPD studier with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role. There will also be a requirement for some travel to the sites, but the role will be based in Harrogate.
Salary up to c£34,000 plus benefits
