My client is seeking a experienced and qualified HR Advisor to join our HR team and provide guidance and support on various HR matters. As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of human resource services, such as advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies, coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants, updating and maintaining the HR information system, and providing advice on policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements.
To be successful as an HR Advisor, you should have a degree in human resources or a relevant field, as well as CIPD qualifications. You should also have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should be able to advise and work with senior members of staff, as well as handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
This is a FTC until March 2024, working on a Hybrid basis
HR Advisor Responsibilities:
- Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions
- Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
- Training hiring managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques
- Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns
- Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
- Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
- Updating and maintaining the HR information system data
- Writing and presenting information briefings on a range of HR related topics
- Advising on staff development
- Suggesting new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations (e.g. ATS and HRIS software)
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Researching and recommending performance evaluation methods (e.g. employee appraisal systems)
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Supporting the HR manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
- Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives
- Assisting in organising employer branding initiatives
- Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team members
HR Advisor Requirements:
- A degree in human resources or a relevant field
- CIPD qualifications
- Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar role
- Ability to advise and work with senior members of staff
- Hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems
- Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the best practice on recruitment and selection
- Experience in interpreting, advising and implementing such agreements and procedures
- Ability to use a HR information system including, accessing, inputting and compiling data
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
