Job description

We have an excellent opportunity to build on your HR experience and join a friendly established team providing a first-class HR service in a busy commercial environment.

Working within the HR Team, the role will provide responsive and customer focused HR advice and support to stakeholders across the company.  You should be keen to apply your employment law knowledge and be confident in advising managers on best practice and supporting them where necessary with recruitment, employee relations, employment law, reward and remuneration.

Duties include:

  • Working closely with the HR Lead on various projects and HR strategy.
  • Provide monthly stats on various elements of HR, e.g. turnover, starters/leavers/sickness as required.
  • Advising on employee relations casework including performance improvement processes, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement processes.
  • Providing general HR advice to employees
  • Support the NHS HR Lead in managing and supporting TUPE processes, grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
  • Assisting the wider HR team with support in busy periods as required.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous HR experience is essential and a high level of enthusiasm for working within HR.
  • Experience of HR formal processes including disciplinaries, grievances, capabilities, sickness management
  • Experience on advising managers on a broad range of HR topics
  • A good understanding of employment law, and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence and ability to work with managers across all levels of the business
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required

Desirable:

  • CIPD Qualification or working towards CIPD or a desire to do so
  • HR experience within the healthcare sector
  • Previous experience in Redundancies and TUPE processes
  • Experience of using HR systems/ databases
  • More advanced excel skills desirable
