Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: Belfast or Dublin depending on the successful candidate, with regular travel throughout Ireland
Salary: £30-£32k per annum with OTE up to £33.5k

The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing HR advice and supporting HR processes across our business. You will support and advise on employee relations processes at initial stages, minimising risk through adherence to statutory and best practice. You will proactively generate HR compliance reports using our StEM system, reviewing sickness absence; performance management and other records, and follow up as required to ensure that consistent standard policies and procedures are applied.
Key Responsibilities:
* Positively represent the HR function and team across our business, establishing yourself as a credible and trustworthy advisor on all HR issues
* Support HR administration requirements and provide HRIS cover as required
* Support our central recruitment function by ensuring that Recruitment and Selection policies and procedures are followed, advising recruiting managers on appropriate paperwork/authorisations needed
* Support Company onboarding procedures as requested
* Produce regular HR compliance reports and proactively follow up to ensure that statutory requirements, Company policies, processes and best practices are all adhered to
* Support in conducting exit interviews as and when required, analysing resulting data to identify recurring themes and reporting same to the Group HR Manager & Director
* Recommend best practice and deliver HR generalist advice regarding both agency workers and employees to employees and managers across both NI and RoI jurisdictions
* Support the Group HR Director and the Group HR Manager by assisting with cross-regional employee relations procedures (typically disciplinary; absence and grievance processes) as and when requested
* Liaise with external agencies/partners as requested
* Provide advice and support in the effective management of temporary and Swedish derogated workers
* Ensure business compliance with agency worker legislation in both jurisdictions
* Support and advise managers in performance and probationary matters
Essential Criteria:
* 2 years+ experience at a HR advisory level
* Excellent communication and presentation skills * Good coaching and influencing skills * Demonstrable experience in supporting change management and conflict resolution
* Third Level Qualification in a business-related discipline * Advanced MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Strong emotional intelligence, with the diplomacy skills necessary to identify and resolve issues at an early stage
* Committed to the highest standards of HR compliance
* Collaborative team-player, can work cross-functionally with ease and creates good working relationships with all business stakeholders
* Highly self-motivated
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Demonstrates professionalism and integrity
Desirable Criteria:
* Chartered CIPD Membership
* Previous HR advisory experience in a Recruitment Agency business or similar service industry
* CIPD or similar recognised professional qualification
