First Choice Recruitment are looking to recruit a dynamic HR generalist to enhance the culture, increase engagement and work closely with the leadership team to strategically align the HR function to this growing business. 650 Employees over 5 companies
You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day compliance aspects of the business.
As the go-to person for all employee related issues your responsibilities include:
- Recruitment - Advertising, screening CV’s, shortlisting candidates, arranging, and leading interviews for all departments within the business. Accurate and timely issuing of contracts, ensuring all returned paperwork is correct. Liaising with internal departments and external recruitment agencies.
- Managing the disciplinary process – composing letters, arranging meetings, completing investigations, accurate notetaking, supporting and advising managers with ad hoc queries.
- Liaising with Employment Law specialists regarding issues arising
- Implementing policies
- Oversee and manage the appraisal system and implement personal development plans to drive high performance.
- Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave.
- Contribution to Management meetings, report to the directors and provide.
- Manpower planning for 5 individual companies.
- Nurturing a positive working environment. The promotion of the company values in every aspect of the HR function through the development and implementation of aligned HR strategies.
- As a member of the leadership team, you will work collaboratively across the company to improve communication and engagement, shaping the company culture.
- Support the design, development and delivery of strategic projects and change management initiatives.
- Management of ad-hoc processes such as TUPE Transfers, redundancy, Maternity Risk Assessments and handling formal grievances etc
- Collating the monthly salary and bonus payment information for submission to payroll team.
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Full training and support will be given regarding the compliance aspect of the job which includes all aspects of licensing, due diligence for all managed sites.
- Compliance – Arranging all legal certification: EICR, Gas Safe, Chimney, Ducting, Fire Safety, due diligences, licencing law, planning, insurance claims and risk assessments for 35 sites.
The ideal candidate would also have:
- Proven working experience as a HR Generalist is essential, a reasonable knowledge of employment law and HR best practice an advantage.
- Ideally a CIPD qualification
- A passion for the industry and a genuine interest in the company
- Business acumen
- Be people oriented and results driven.
- Have excellent active listening and presentation skills.
- Build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- A good understanding of the hospitality Industry would be an advantage.
