Reed HR is delighted to support our client in the North Down area who wishes to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an on-site role with flexi hours where you will work as part of a team
Responsibilities
Business Partnering
• Deliver a professional HR & OD service across all sites under the direction of the HR Manager, contributing towards the delivery of the organisation’s business objectives & in support of the HR & OD Corporate & Business Plan
• Act as an internal Business Partner for line managers & staff providing professional advice on the application of people management policies, organisational values, terms & conditions of employment & relevant legislation
• Build relationships across the organisation to support all stakeholders & be seen as a trusted & credible advisor
• Be a role model to staff & colleagues & act as a coach / mentor
People Management
• Contribute to the recruitment & retention of a skilled, flexible & motivated workforce to provide high quality services
• Assist in management of the employee life cycle & processes including induction, training, performance management, payroll & pensions
• Review, develop & implement policies & procedures relating to all HR activities
• Help to ensure the delivery of effective employee relations & industrial relations in partnership with Union
• Contribute to the development of HR strategy & the delivery of objectives relating to the Business Plan & Corporate Strategy
• Contribute to the implementation of Equality Scheme, ensuring compliance
Organisational Development
• Contribute to the development & delivery of structural & cultural change programs & implementation of staff learning & development to enhance employee performance in achieving both individual & organisational goals & objectives
• Support the development & improvement of staff engagement & communications
Systems & Business Management
• Contribute to the operation of HR processes in recruitment, payroll, attendance management & general administration
• Manage the development of HR ICT systems to maximise integration & efficiency
• Oversee the effective reporting of HR & OD business information
Leadership & Staff Development
• Promotion of positive & integrated team working across the organisation to help internal communications & performance
• Help to embed a culture of improvement & ensure good performance is recognised & best practice shared
• Embrace & champion the brand as well as the Vision, Mission & Values
Essential Criteria
Minimum of two years’ generalist HR experience & a qualification in HR Management OR four years’ generalist HR experience
Associate member of CIPD
Experience of managing a demanding operational & project-based workload demonstrating organisational & planning skills
Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to employment law in Northern Ireland & the management of its application in dealing with a broad range of staffing matters
Experience of communicating with a range of stake holders & well-developed communication & interpersonal skills
Experience of using HR Management systems
Access to a method of transport that will allow the requirements of the role to be met in full
Desirable Criteria
Chartered member of CIPD
Level 7 qualification in Human Resources Management
Sound working knowledge of public sector or NICS Pay and Conditions of Service
Experience in a unionised environment
Experience of using I-Trent
