HR Business Partner in a Central Government Department
Are you a skilled HR professional with a passion for policy development and process improvement? We are currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join a Central Government department on a hybrid basis in either; London, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, or York. This role offers the flexibility of working 2 days in the office and there is potential for a contract extension beyond the initial months.
Location: London/Bristol/Manchester/Birmingham/York
Hybrid: 2 days in office
Contract Length: months (with potential for extension)
Day rate: £300 - £350
Qualification Requirement: CIPD qualified
Responsibilities: As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for driving policy development, process mapping, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Policy Development:
- Writing policies from scratch to align with organizational goals and legal requirements - Collaborating with stakeholders to gather input and ensure policies reflect best practices
- Regularly reviewing and updating policies to ensure they remain up to date and effective
Process Mapping and Improvement:
- Setting up process maps to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency
- Conducting research to stay informed of current legislation and best practices
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance procedures
Communication and Collaboration:
- Updating procedures in a way that is easily understood by managers and staff members
- Working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Providing guidance and support to managers and staff on HR-related matters
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience in policy development and process improvement
- Strong knowledge of current legislation and best practices in HR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ideally exposure within a Central Government department
- Experience of Central Government HR policy legislation
