We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team at a prestigious boarding school. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions, contributing to our ethos of nurturing excellence through hard work and dedication.
Day to day of the role:- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
- Participate in developing organisational guidelines and procedures.
- Recommend strategies to motivate employees and maintain a healthy work environment.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Investigate complaints or concerns raised by employees and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Coordinate employee development plans and performance management processes.
- Conduct orientations for new staff members and update records accordingly.
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or in a relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
- Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
- In-depth understanding of UK labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- CIPD certification is considered an advantage.
