Live sport; from Ascot to Zwift, via Formula 1, The Ryder Cup and World Athletics, there’s nothing like the experience and excitement. Imagine providing strategic HR support to an organisation that delivers smart business solutions to sports leagues, governing bodies, venues, and major event hosts across the globe.
We are The Sports Consultancy, and we use our unrivalled experience and connections to deliver business solutions to brands, host cities, rights holders, and venues worldwide. Our integrated service offering spans strategy, investment, commercial partnerships, major events, campaigns, facilities and legal.
Our ongoing growth, particularly in the US and MENA region, has prompted the need to recruit a strategically focused HR Manager into our leadership team to provide direction for our people agenda. As a newly created, standalone HR role, you have the opportunity to shape the role through close collaboration with the rest of our leadership team.
The emphasis will be on developing a culture of best practice HR focussing on performance management as well as team and individual development to equip us with the right people to underpin our ambitious growth plans.
In particular you will:
- Provide a day-to-day point of contact for all aspects of HR.
- Own and drive our strategy for performance management, development, and succession planning.
- Integrate your skills and knowledge of HR with our business development plans for geographical growth, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Ensure we remain ‘best in class’ for our recruitment, employment, training, and reward strategies to help us attract, develop, motivate, and retain the very best talent.
We’ll expect you to bring a generalist HR background, CIPD qualification to a minimum level 5 progressing to level 7, and experience in a similar consulting environment where you have operated close to the sharp end of a commercially focussed business in a matrix style set up.
You’ll be able to demonstrate how you have introduced, refined, and developed all aspects of strategic HR in an environment of transformational change and growth, and where you’ve balanced the provision of transactional day to day HR with the need for strategic input and vision. Experience of supporting a team across multiple locations and employment jurisdictions will be an advantage.
If you’re interested and have the required skills and experience, then please ensure you apply with your CV and covering letter by the deadline of the 21st April. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 1st May.
