Hr Manager

We are currently recruiting for an HR Manager to join an international full services law company in Cardiff.

As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and strategic development of our HR function. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation by ensuring that our HR practices are aligned with our business objectives.

This is a hybrid role 3 days in the office minimum

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the HR plan, focusing on delivering high-quality HR services.
• Establish and maintain a robust HR infrastructure, including efficient systems and processes.
• Oversee HR administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with service standards.
• Manage payroll changes promptly and accurately in collaboration with the payroll team.
• Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices comply with legal standards and implement necessary updates.
• Address a wide range of HR/people matters, including onboarding, career development, performance management, employee wellbeing, reward, and recognition.
• Provide expert HR Projects guidance and support to the management team.
• Strengthen employee engagement, retention, and continuous improvement through effective feedback processes.
• Foster strong relationships across teams and ensure timely communication.
• Oversee training and development efforts, including the delivery of HR/People-related training.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy.
• Develop and maintain HR reporting and Management Information systems, implementing actions as needed.
• Manage HR expenditure within approved budgets.
• Lead and assist with HR initiatives and projects, particularly those involving HR systems.

Key Requirements:

• CIPD Level 5 qualified.
• Proven track record of managing an HR function.
• Experience in managing and developing others.
• Strong project management skills, especially with HR systems.
• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and passion for excellence.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
• Experience in implementing/developing HR systems.
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach and impressive work ethic.
• Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with sound judgment.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain confidentiality.
