HR Manager
As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead a small team of HR professionals to deliver people outcomes, through an efficient, engaging, and supportive service. The successful candidate will be a credible and trusted HR professional that can build close personal relationships to influence teams and line managers at all levels, using technical expertise, data, and insight to help improve the quality and effectiveness of organisational decision making.
The role is permanent with a starting salary of £47,157 a year (from April 2024), rising to £50,873 a year (from April 2024) after key competencies of the role are met.

About the role
The role of HR Manageris a pivotal role which is responsible for managing the HR Operations and the delivery of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) agenda.
The successfulHR Manager will work in partnership with the Organisational Development & Learning Manager to deliver on key strategies and projects as well as supporting the Health & Safety Manager as part of the wider department. Creating a one team approach to deliver on the department strategic outcomes.
About You
To be successful in the role ofour new HR Manager you must have at least 3 years’ experience of leading a successful HR operations team and experience of ED&I delivery and be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Independent decision making with great judgement to resolve situations.
- Ability to build close working relationships to achieve successful outcomes.
- Resilient in an environment of challenging and conflicting demands.
- Organised with a good attention to detail to produce accurate and quality work.
- Change agent that embraces transformation.
- Effective communication skills to be able to provide solution focused advice, support, and influence.
- Excellent knowledge of Employment Law and application.
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Microsoft.
- Experience of managing complex ER casework in a Trade Union environment.
- Qualified to CIPD Level 7/ Chartered Member or equivalent experience.
- Coaching qualification desirable.
