HR MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager, to join a growing team. Having never had a dedicated HR contact within the organisation, our client has now created an opening for a Human Resources Manager, on a part time, permanent basis.
This standalone HR Manager role offers a wonderful opportunity for an experienced HR professional to come in and refine the current HR strategy, implement systems and processes, and work closely with the management team, to further enhance the wonderful culture that they have cultivated, to date.
The HR Manager will ideally be CIPD qualified, with experience of working in a stand alone HR role, ideally within multi-site organisations. TUPE experience would also be advantageous, given that growth plans may likely involve further acquisitions, in the near future.
HR MANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Recruitment Attract and recruit high calibre candidates to meet the business needs.
  • Onboarding of all new starters paperwork, inductions, processes etc.
  • Ownership of staff handbook reviewing current handbook, updating as required, and ensuring it s kept up to date (Administration element)
  • Manage and administer the online HR Portal and other employee records.
  • Review the HR Portal use and other functionalities. The system offers excellent features and benefits that are yet to be utilised. Exploring functionalities to identify and implement better processes.
  • Absence management long term sickness, maternity, paternity etc.
  • Disciplinaries / grievances and associated ER tasks
  • Staff pension and all other benefit provisions - current PMI schemes, looking at additional benefits researching what else could enhance the company s benefits scheme to remain competitive, and retain a happy culture.
  • Provide sound employment advice to senior managers, and staff alike.
  • Ensure that regulatory and compliance GDPR responsibilities are met and reviewed, as required.
  • Staff reviews working with managers to align the review process and ensure that all employees across the business benefit from regular reviews, and opportunities to further develop, or add value to the business through ideas that are heard, and ideally, implemented.
  • HR Administration As a hands on HR Manager, you would expected to manage your own day to day administration
  • Support with Acquisitions specifically on Tupe any experience in this area would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Employee engagement sessions working directly with the senior management team to ensure that Employees suggestions are heard and listened to, and where great suggestions are put forward, these are investigated and implemented where possible.
  • Exit interviews and other HR projects and tasks, as required.
HR MANAGER EXPERIENCE / KEY SKILLS:
  • Previous experience in a stand-alone role would be ideal The HR Manager will take ownership of all aspects of HR and people matters, including administration and record keeping.
  • Experience of company mergers, takeovers, buyouts or TUPE would be ideal, but not essential, if the HR Manager has confidence to get involved and work with the management team, to support them through these projects.
  • Ability to build relationships with staff at all levels, and across multiple sites is essential. This is a people focused role, so building authentic relationships is key to its success. You would working with teams across two sites in the Dorset area, so travel between the two would be expected.
  • HR Generalist experience, with confidence in all aspects from onboarding, recruitment through to ER, training, employee engagement etc.

  • Competitive salary up to GBP46k per annum (pro rata)
    Circa 25 hours per week ideally over 5 days, but 3 full days, or other hours would be considered for the right person.
