Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an established HR professional who is happy working in a sole charge role where they will be part of a small SLT looking after 150 employees. The role is providing advice and support to line management, ER issues including disciplinaries, appeals and grievances, writing and amending policies as the business needs change, handling TUPE transfers, creating and delivering management training, delivering a robust onboarding programme and general HR advice for the entire employee life cycle and other adhoc HR related duties. The role is 1 day office based and the rest at home, so you will need to live within commutable distance of the Southend area and be around for any other adhoc meetings at short notice. The hours are 22.5 per week, which can be carried out over 4 or 5 short days or 3 full days.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be someone who is confident to work in a sole HR capacity, ideally CIPD level 5 or qualified by experience equivalent, close to Southend and have good working knowledge or TUPE and policy writing.
