A client of ours in the Braintree area are recruiting a HR Manager to join their team. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm and paying between 35,000 - 45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Reporting to the Finance Director, your key duties include but are not limited to:
- Coach and develop managers on all areas of HR policy, procedure and practice.
- Work with managers to recognise development opportunities for their teams, and to arrange appropriate learning and development actions plans.
- Provide advice to managers on employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance and capability, ensuring advice is consistent and based on current policy, procedures and legislation.
- Expert in finding talent to bring to the organisation mainly through direct sourcing
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process by preparing documentation, organising and supporting interviews.
- Effectively prioritise and manage a high volume of various types of HR queries.
- Provide advice and support in the effective management of both long term and short term frequent intermittent absence.
- Own the relationship with key benefit providers - pension, life assurance, healthcare including the annual tender process
- Systems expert for the HR portal (Citrus) which manages the employee lifecycle
- Oversee the payroll process (starters/leavers/changes) liaising with an external Third Party Payroll provider.
- With the support of the Office Assistant, organises training & medicals for office colleagues
- Owns the calendar of probation and annual review process
- Develop plans to improve employee engagement
- Lead key HR projects.
- Other duties appropriate to the level of this role.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this HR Manager position:
- Hands on knowledge of UK employment law
- CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified
- Experience working within an SME desirable.
- Manufacturing and Production industry experience essential.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise as this is a standalone role.
- IT Literate - experience of using a HR System.
- Proven employee relationship experience.
- Previous payroll experience desirable.
