We are eagerly searching for a committed and adept HR professional to join a secondary school located in Newham. As a School HR Officer, you'll be pivotal in delivering top-notch HR support to the educational community.
Working hand in hand with the HR Lead and the esteemed Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you'll be at the forefront of providing proactive and professional HR services, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.
Responsibilities of the School HR Officer:

• HR Support: Take the lead on a range of proactive HR initiatives, from managing recruitment processes to overseeing smooth exit procedures. Your comprehensive approach will cover the entire spectrum of HR responsibilities.
• Operational Excellence: Partner closely with the SLT to guarantee seamless HR operations. Your keen eye for detail will be instrumental in maintaining accurate employee records and coordinating various HR activities efficiently.
• Policy Development: Play a pivotal role in shaping HR policies and procedures that align seamlessly with our school's values and ethos. You'll actively champion corporate policies, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for all.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate strong connections with our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and vibrant student body. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will be vital in addressing queries and nurturing a collaborative HR environment.

Requirements for the School HR Officer:

• HR Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in HR policies, procedures, and essential employment legislation.
• Recruitment Experience: Previous involvement in staff recruitment processes, ensuring we attract top talent to our school community.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Education Sector Advantage: While not mandatory, experience in a similar role within the education sector would be advantageous.
