We are searching for a HR professional to provide high quality and impactful HR support across a school trust based in Newham. You will advise and support the Senior Leadership Team based at one of the schools, providing a full HR service from recruitment to exit, and everything in between!
You will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, providing helpful and proactive support and advice to managers and employees on a broad range of HR policies and processes.
School HR Officer Job Summary:
- To lead the Academy’s operational HR activities and processes alongside development of policies and the strategic management of personnel as the Trust grows.
- To support the whole school through the effective management and delivery of the Human Resources function to the Principal and to all staff including senior management.
- Relationship building, supporting employees directly, coordinating, planning and executing HR activities.
- To deliver effective and efficient support, maintaining the agreed standards of service, to the students, staff and parents who make up the school community, creating and promoting an image of the trust which is in accordance with its ethos and values.
- The individual is expected to lead by example, develop teamwork and actively promote the school’s corporate policies.
- The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD Level 7 qualified.
- Relevant experience of HR policies, procedures, and a good understanding of basic employment legislation.
- Experience of managing staff recruitment processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate well to people on all levels.
- Experience in a similar role within the education sector an advantage but not essential.
- Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
