A rare opportunity to join a close-knit, small and friendly HR team as they recruit for a HR Officer to join them.
We're pleased to be working exclusively with this leading independent day and boarding school - one of Ely's largest employers who play a key role in the local community.
In this varied role, you'll be combining HR and recruitment to support with:
- Employment matters including updating handbooks and policies
- Working on employee initiatives such as appraisal processes, goal setting and new pay practices
- Recruitment
- Absence management
- Employee relations
- Become a confident user of the HRIS system and ensure this is updated accurately
- Training and development
- Assisting in ensuring HR data is recorded accurately and on-time for monthly payroll
- Employment law updates
You'll be providing advice, guidance and support on a wide range of HR issues - always ensuring a high level of confidentiality.
Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, along with generalist HR experience would be ideal. CIPD would be desirable.
Important skills to demonstrate in this role include being well organised, proactive and able to manage conflicting priorities.

Hours:
44 weeks a year - covering term time plus four out of term weeks
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Salary:
26,600 per annum
