We are currently seeking to appoint a HR Payroll and TNA Officer on a Full-time, permanent basis.
Job Purpose:
To manage the HR payroll processes in conjunction with the Payroll team and overseeing the time and attendance system. The role will involve meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Payroll Administration:
- To process and manage the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle from an HR perspective and in collaboration with the centralised Payroll Team
- To verify and reconcile the payroll data, including hours worked, additions, amendments and deductions to be made including request for any statutory payments to be made
Time and Attendance Management:
- To oversee the Time & Attendance system, including setting new starters, maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary
- To monitor and analyse attendance records, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies
- To collaborate with line management to resolve attendance-related issues
- To general reports on attendance patterns and trends for management review
Employee Communication:
- In collaboration with the Payroll Team, to respond to employee enquiries in relation to payroll, benefits and time & attendance issues
- To conduct periodic training sessions for employees on time & attendance procedures and any troubleshooting initiatives
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- To provide support during any internal/external audits ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation is maintained
Person Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in an HR role with a focus on payroll and time & attendance
- In depth knowledge of payroll processes and timekeeping systems
- Details oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in using HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
You are also expected to:
- Observe the clocking system of the College
- Give good notice of any absence (on the day of absence to email within one hour of start time);
- Keep up to date with developments of the job area
- Participate in training activities both in College and at external locations in respect of Continuing Professional Development (CPD);
- Adhere to general standards of conduct embodied in College policies and procedures (e.g. health and safety, equality and diversity, etc.);
- Work flexibly and efficiently, maintain the highest professional standards and promote and implement the policies of the College;
