HR Systems Implementations Manager

Burman are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Systems Implementations Manager to lead the successful planning, implementation, and optimisation of human resources information systems within our clients higher education institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR systems and project management, ensuring seamless integration to support the evolving needs of our diverse academic and administrative workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Lead the planning and execution of HR systems implementations, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and HR best practices.
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, resource requirements, and milestones.

Requirements Analysis and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to gather and document system requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of user needs.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and customization.

Vendor Selection and Management:

  • Manage the vendor selection process, including RFP creation, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR systems vendors to ensure ongoing support and system updates.

System Configuration and Integration:

  • Oversee the configuration and customisation of HR systems to meet the specific needs of the higher education environment.
  • Manage the integration of HR systems with other institutional software, such as student information systems and finance systems.

User Training and Support:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for HR staff and end-users on new systems and functionalities.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to address user issues and ensure effective system utilization.

Data Migration and Quality Assurance:

  • Lead data migration efforts, ensuring the accurate and secure transfer of HR data to new systems.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy and system functionality.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure HR systems compliance with data protection regulations, privacy laws, and institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures.
