Hse Assistant

We are looking for a temporary Health and Safety Assistant for this busy manufacturing plant in Leicester.
This is an 8 week position with the possibility of being extended. Working alongside the Health and safety manager you will need to have the skills to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities of Health and Safety Assistant

• Identify risk factors within the plant, draft the risk assessment and indicate the necessary measures for the health and safety of working environments in compliance with the regulations in force
• Guarantee the correct and efficient control of administrative processes concerning safety management
• Carry out analyses following job injuries, in order to ascertain their cause and promptly implement the related corrective measures
• Participate in safety meetings with workers and their representatives
• Participate in the elaboration of safety procedures for the different corporate activities
• Participate in the training process of suppliers of goods and services with relation to safety and hygiene activities in the working places (where applicable)
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager in the checking of compliance of machines, plants and facilities with law requirements and in the suggestion of measures to carry out in order to raise their safety standards, also taking into account the applicable harmonised technical provisions
• Promote the Corporate Principles and Values

Additional skills/requirements of Health and Safety Assistant

• NEBOSH qualification
• Manufacturing experience would be preferable or a similar heavy industrial setting Quarry, Mining or Construction.

Benefits of Health and Safety Assistant include

• Pay up to GBP17.00 per hour this role falls inside IR35 you will only pay personal tax and NI on this rate.
• Weekly pay.
• Holiday pay will be accumulated on an hourly basis
• Pension - post
• Monday Friday 8.30am- 5.30pm - this can be flexible
