The Role:
Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Join our vibrant team as an Accounts Assistant and play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our 15 regional offices. We're seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for accuracy and a drive to excel in a dynamic environment.
The London Hub is a bustling centre of activity, comprising 15 regional offices, and we're looking for a talented Accounts Assistant to join our team. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, we're dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to our clients while fostering growth and development for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload all supporting documentation to Xero Working Paper Pack within Group deadline.
- Provide support for staff cover arrangements for the management accounts team.
- Ensure timely payment of all statutory obligations, including Corporation Tax, PAYE & VAT.
- Assist in the preparation of audit information and provide ad-hoc analysis for external auditors.
- Update bank reconciliations and prepare weekly debtor receipts.
- Provide monthly receivables and payables ledger summaries for each office.
- Act as the finance contact for internal and external queries related to the offices you oversee.
- Complete National Statistics reports and conduct ad-hoc reviews of overheads.
- Collaborate with the Hub Finance Controller to implement financial controls and systems.
- Assist with quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and Expected Credit loss calculations.
- Handle VAT returns, cover AP responsibilities, and assist with month-end close.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the business.
Key Requirements:
- 1 year or more of practice experience is essential.
- AAT Qualified candidates are desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills are required, with knowledge of IFRS and experience using Xero being desirable.
- Good analytical skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
