SalaryHydraulic Fitter Position Overview
My client are currently looking for a Hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter based in the Leamington Spa area to assist in the manufacturing, installation and servicing of hydraulic and lubrication systems. This is a workshop based role where you spend 80% of your time on site, however some travel to complete works on customers site would be required, and a company vehicle will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Build hydraulic & lubrication systems from engineering drawings to include:
- Building up motor pump sets, ensuring drive shafts fit by sanding and making up keys
- Building up reservoirs, including internal paint, installation of bulkhead fittings and fitting tank accessories
- Mounting valves in pipe work or on manifolds
- Installing hydraulic and lubrication system pipe work, cutting and bending. Also, swaging hydraulic hoses
- Testing of hydraulic valves, cylinders and accumulators
- Assisting on-site services with the maintenance of hydraulic systems
- Installation of hydraulic systems at customer's premises
- Assist in the test of hydraulic & lubrication systems
- Be trained in other activities such as paint & hydraulic fault finding
- Undertake other tasks, within your capability, as directed by the Operations Manager
- Follow all company HSE and QA/QC Policy in line with any statutory requirements as directed
- Ensuring Right First Time (RFT) completion of allocated tasks
- Undertake and complete all allocated tasks in accordance with the On Time Delivery (OTD) requirements of the operation
Hydraulic Fitter Position Requirements
- Experience in a hydraulic or mechanic fitter role
- Clean, valid UK drivers licence
- Good communication skills
- Advanced Modern Apprenticeship or similar qualification
- Hydraulic Training (Preferably NFPC) is preferable
Hydraulic Fitter Position Remuneration
- 30,000- 35,000 DOE
