Hydrology Consultant

RPS is looking for a Hydrology Consultant to join our Environmental Team in various locations. We will be open to consider part-time or job share as well as professionals looking to return to work. What you'll be doing:
· Flood Risk Assessments
· Hydrological Analysis using FEH, WINFAP and ReFH
· Hydraulic Modelling using WinDes, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW etc.
· Supporting the preparation of Environment Statements
· Undertaking site walkovers and support site environmental sampling and monitoring programmes
· Undertaking literature and web-based research on technical issues
Data collection and processing
· Contributing to the development of the team by providing support and mentoring
Your skills and experience
· Strong technical understanding of the key sources of flooding and sustainable drainage
· Report writing and have knowledge of the UK environmental regulatory guidance
· Able to demonstrate complete knowledge of the NPPF, associated PPG and SuDS guidance, with a good understanding of the UK planning regime.
· Experience of Microdrainage / Infodrainage modelling and hydraulic modelling techniques (e.g. Flood Modeller Pro/Tuflow) an advantage;
· Environmental Science, Hydrology or similar degree, preferably with a related MSc;
