About the role.
As the Hygiene Strategy Lead, your responsibilities encompass championing SHE compliance across the UK estate and collaborating with Central Technical to uphold and enhance Central Hygiene standards. You will lead the Hygiene Steering Group, continuously evolve the Central Hygiene Strategy, and develop KPIs and Kaizen initiatives. Your role involves working with manufacturing, engineering, and technical teams to drive continuous improvement (CI) which is reflected in enhanced manufacturing KPI’s. You will create hygiene strategies that align with organizational goals, ensure consistent communication and adoption of hygiene principles across site teams, and set best practices with the Central Technical team. Additional duties include directing root cause analysis programs, performing due diligence for capital investments, developing various reports, providing SME advice, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting operational team development. You will also manage external suppliers, review hygiene documentation, seek optimal hygiene tools, approve new hygiene system requirements, support learning and development, and perform administrative tasks to support the hygiene strategy. Furthermore, you will maintain CIC standards, optimize labor planning, lead the Hygiene job family, and drive the CIP strategy across the group.
About you.
You will be an experienced Hygiene Manager ideally with experience of:
- Risk management and its application to hygiene management, hazard control, pest control; quantification, mitigation, and impact.
- Application of hygiene strategies, taking account of retailer and BRC standards.
- Creation and maintenance of hygiene management systems.
Ideally qualified in Hygiene Specialist Qualification Level 4 LARS Code 584 or above, HACCP level 3, CIP Level 4, COSHH Assessment, Advance Food Hygiene Level 4
