Import Supervisor required!
My client specialises in providing international transportation services, through air, ocean, and road freight. They are committed to helping customers achieve their operational and financial objectives through continually offering better, faster, and more cost-efficient services. They provide transport networks spanning 195 countries, flexible and efficient logistics services, and reliable and secure storage and distribution.
Due to company growth, they're now looking for an Import Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As an Import Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the importation process to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
Requirements
- Customs Compliance - Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and requirements for the importation of goods and staying up to date with changes in international trade laws and tariffs.
- Systems / Software Knowledge - to utilise a range of in-house systems to process customer bookings to meet the requirements requested by the customer.
- To ensure all shipments are in-line and comply with the regulations set out in country of origin and UK customs.
- Documentation Management - to ensure for each shipment the correct documentation is raised and received on arrival.
- UK Arrival Process - to ensure all arrivals are checked in and available for collection and delivery to meet customer requirements.
- Operational Compliance - monitoring carrier performance to ensure all shipments move as agreed to the customer requirement.
- Commercial Awareness - to understand and use the current carrier rates to ensure RIF achieve a positive margin.
- Customer Invoicing - to ensure all invoices raised include all costs incurred and are charged as per the agreed rates.
- Two years experience in an Import Supervisory role.
