Description
Permanent, Part Time (17 hours per week)
Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is an ambitious, dynamic housing association with strong community roots. We are focused on building homes and communities where people can thrive and delivering valued services to our customers.
We’re now seeking an Income Account Manager – someone to maximise GCH’s income through the effective management of current customers’ rent and service charge accounts.
Reporting to our Income & Sustainment Manager, you will provide an effective and efficient rent collection service to all customers, whatever their tenure, within your patch. You will seek to maximise income and manage and respond to significant or complex arrears cases. You’ll be pro-active in your approach to arrears collection, utilising early intervention and minimisation of debt for the customer and GCH, to include emails, phone calls and other forms of communication, and identify and support customers who might need assistance, sharing intelligence, coordinating contact on sensitive cases, and planning preventative mechanisms.
We’d like you to…
Have experience of arrears case management and negotiating effectively with customers, in difficult situations.
Have experience of welfare rights and county court practice.
Be approachable and accessible to customers.
Be solution focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have current and thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Housing Law and its application within social housing.
Have a sound understanding of Safeguarding, able to identify Safeguarding concerns and make referrals to appropriate agencies where required.
Have experience of collating and analysing customer intelligence, as well as sharing and presenting information to the patch team.
Have proven computer literacy skills, with experience of MS Office packages and CRM systems.
Closing Date: 2nd October 2023
GCH reserve the right to bring the closing date forward should enough quality applications be received prior to the current closing date.
GCH is committed to equal opportunities. We actively encourage applications from all sections of our community, particularly those with lived experience of our work.
