Leeds Trinity University is committed to supporting pre-registration nursing students and our practice placement partners in the supervision and assessment of practice. For this key aspect of our work, we are looking to appoint experienced NMC registered nurses in adult, mental health and learning disability fields, as Indirect Practice supervisors/practice assessors. We are seeking individuals with relevant experience as an NMC registrant who will contribute to the assessment process of the pre-registration BSc (Hons) Nursing programme by acting as Indirect Practice supervisor or Indirect Practice assessor to pre-registration student nurses in practice placement areas. You will be responsible for the support and supervision of pre-registration student nurses, in line with their scope of practice, to enable then to meet their proficiencies and programme outcomes. We are looking for individuals with current knowledge and experience in the field of practice in which you will be providing support, supervision and feedback; and experience of acting as a practice assessor. A good understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with working with a diverse range of students at undergraduate level is essential for this post. The postholders will primarily support pre-registration student nurses and practice placement partners in the West Yorkshire area, however visits to the Leeds Trinity Campus and to partner organisations outside the West Yorkshire area may also be required. Please note the postholders will be required to work flexibly in line with shift patterns with our partner organisations.
