Our Mars Digital Supply Chain Transformation is currently gaining momentum as we aim to optimize the value we generate and secure for our business. In the context of Mars Petcare, the acceleration of our Smart Factory transformation (the process of digitizing our factories) is of utmost importance. This is due to the critical role that digital and data-driven solutions play in enhancing our industry's performance, the substantial potential for productivity improvement, and our substantial investments in digital technologies to sustain and expand our market presence.

We will focus on enabling plant performance visibility, applying automation and Artificial Intelligence solutions to address challenges in our plants where it is needed the most. Value will be created through the elimination of losses, optimization of our manufacturing process and enabling our associates.


What are we looking for?

As the Global DT Product Management Lead, your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the successful implementation and adoption of digital manufacturing initiatives worldwide. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional and regional teams, including those from operations, IT, engineering, and supply chain, to chart the roadmap for digital manufacturing technologies and processes. The objective is to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall product quality.

Your duties will encompass program management for various regions, ensuring the establishment of robust Digital Technology teams with technical expertise. Additionally, you will oversee the adherence to agreed-upon change management processes within each region. Furthermore, you will guarantee that every global solution maintains the appropriate operating model throughout its entire lifecycle, covering solution development, enhancement, and support phases.

To achieve these objectives, you will work in tandem with the DT Solution Architect, aiming to optimize the portfolio of solutions from both an infrastructure and capability standpoint.


What will be your key responsibilities?

The overarching purpose and responsibilities can be described in greater detail as follows:


GLOBAL CAPABILITY BUILD

  • Develop a technology strategy roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define digital manufacturing requirements, including automation, data analytics, robotics, and IoT. Translate these requirements into technology needs and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead the global digital manufacturing roadmap, identifying technical interdependencies, necessary architecture changes, and system/data impacts. Align with global workstream leads and regional leaders.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, ensure compliance with enterprise architecture processes, and facilitate project handovers to the support team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to address development challenges.
  • Lead the creation of capability playbooks and deployment strategies.
  • Establish consistent End-to-End Capability operating models.
  • Develop robust product support processes.
  • Collaborate with our Smart Factory DT Solution Architect to assess technology gaps, identify and evaluate digital manufacturing technologies, tools, and platforms in alignment with regional requirements and business goals, and share best practices with regional digital manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement across regions.
  • Provide technical guidance to software development teams (DevOps) and incorporate user feedback for improvement.
  • Manage 3rd-party contracts and resources.


REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP

  • Serve as the main point of contact for setting up regional deployment teams.
  • Define and estimate the technical resources required.
  • Lead changes to enable MVPs (Minimum Viable Products).
  • Manage technical escalations during project delivery by re-contracting with IT leaders.
  • Oversee the end-to-end regional implementation of digital manufacturing initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within set timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Also, assist with project approval and funding.
  • Provide regional leads with the necessary infrastructure prerequisites and monitor their readiness.
  • Offer support within the region for various workstreams.
  • Ensure that operations change management is effectively implemented in the regions.
  • Coordinate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge sharing activities to promote the adoption of global digital manufacturing practices.
  • Monitor and track regional key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital manufacturing initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
