About the role:

Our IT Services team have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Infrastructure Engineer. You'll be a vital part of supporting Activate Learning’s Virtual and Physical Server Infrastructure, collaborating within the Network and Infrastructure team to ensure smooth daily processes and project delivery. Your role extends to handling desktop application deployments, patching, and OS deployments using SCCM & Intune MDM products.

You could be a candidate working in 3rd line support and be looking to progress, or have more extensive experience and be looking for your next opportunity to develop your career.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a hybrid working arrangement, with 2/3 days per week in the office at our sites in Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Surrey.

What do you need to be successful as an Infrastructure Engineer at Activate Learning?

Successful candidates will bring a background in infrastructure setup and support. Experience in VMWare/SAN or NAS systems, configuring backups, and concise documentation is essential.

Ideally you will have experience of AD/Entra/DNS/DHCP and qualifications such as MCSA,MCTS,VCTA or equivalent experience.

Positive attributes include familiarity with testing and deploying applications and infrastructure, proficiency in PowerShell scripting, and experience with SCCM or MS products. Effective planning and communication skills are essential, and we value team players with a strong customer service ethos. You will have a genuine interest and drive in solving complex technical problems.
