The Sales Associate, International Rights and Reprints is responsible generating and increasing sales for commercial reprints and translation rights for the entire portfolio of Wolters Kluwer Health books and journals. In addition to growing business with existing accounts, the Sales Associate will also be tasked with prospecting its territories to identify new clients for the reprints and rights businesses to help achieve individual and team sales targets.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Maximize revenue potential with existing client base while also mapping out prospecting strategies to fuel new customer development and grow sales
- Adhere to all CRM policies and procedures to keep a clean sales pipeline to allow for accurate and timely forecasting
- Researches and gathers information on current customers and their needs.
- Adheres to defined sales methodology and sales processes
- Develop strong relationships with customers,
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives via prospecting and account management
- Develop sales strategy for prospects and assigned accounts and successfully manage deals through the sales cycle
- Communicate with customers with regards to any account problems and discuss customer concerns and suggestions
- Negotiate service/product terms with customers in line with guidelines
- Growing partnerships with multinational sales agency partners to maximize global opportunities beyond the local market level
- Working closely with journal and book editorial teams to ensure efficient and timely project approvals to minimize disruptions to the sales process
- Keeping abreast of developments in the rights and reprints markets, including new offerings or strategies from competitive publishers, changes in customer and agency dynamics, and updates in the pharma marketing space
- Travel for conferences, events and customer meetings as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of successful sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving annual sales targets and goals
- Deep knowledge of the international rights and reprints businesses
- Experience developing strong partnerships with a global client base
- Exceptional verbal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, listening and presentation skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Proactive self-starter with great attention to detail and proven ability to over-achieve individual and team-based targets

- Experience working with SalesForce CRM
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
