Sales Representative (Field Based)

Magna Foodservice is a leading food distribution company, supplying 800+ products across fresh, chilled, ambient and dry categories to businesses across the UK, including restaurants, takeaways and hotels. We are committed to capitalizing on our current success and accelerating new business acquisition nationally to achieve challenging commercial growth targets. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Representative to join the business on a permanent basis, at our Head Office in Heston, Middlesex. You will be working closely with the Sales Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement sales strategies, expanding the customer base across various sectors including QSR, café and retail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Driving new business growth through cold calling and field-based visits to potential customers within the HORECA sector to promote products successfully.

• Liaising with customers professionally, negotiating prices and securing new accounts in line with targets / KPIs.

• Managing warm leads and following up appropriately to avail sales opportunities swiftly.

• Dealing with existing accounts, responding to queries and delivering an exceptional level ofservice at all times to drive loyalty and cross / up selling.

• Liaising closely with other functions within the business to ensure the success of new product launches and promotional initiatives.

• Delivering sales / pipeline reports to senior management for review on a weekly / monthly basis.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Strong background in sales and business development within the food service (or FMCG) industry.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in highly competitive marketplaces.

• Capability to deliver compelling sales pitches / presentations and execute strategic plans to achieve consistent revenue growth.

• Experience in managing territories, coordinating teams and reporting to leadership personnel on a frequent basis.

• Genuine passion for putting the customer at the heart of all propositions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Full UK Driving Licence with the flexibility to travel nationally with Car.
