Insurance & Risk Management Director

This is a chance to work for a global commercial real estate services firm.

The jobholder will report into the Global Risk & Compliance Officer, with the main focus of providing advisory and Risk Management globally, but in particular, for the UK and Eurpean markets.

The main responsibility is the development and management of the insurance and risk controls for the various enterprise Risk Management programs. You will also be a focal point for contact with brokers, insurers and the wider internal and external stakeholders. In establishing and maintaining these close relations you will ensure good oversight which will lead to a seamless insurance framework across the group operations in the UK and Europe.

The preferred background and experience will include;-

Risk management experience including the development and delivery of key risk and performance indicators

Strong and demonstratable negotiation skills

Proven record of analytical expertise and excellent attention to detail

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

Leadership experience in the quantification and review of losses due to claims the group would be exposed to.

Strong problem solving and lateral thinking abilities.

An ability to self-manage, work proactively, using own initiative without needing direction, remain motivated and lead by example.

Keep up to date with trends and benchmarks in the main property sectors and have a good awareness of market risk sentiment.
