Service Care Solutions have an exciting new opportunity for a Intensive Housing Management Worker to work for a well established client in Essex.

Key Responsibilities.

• Directly support tenants in managing their tenancy, offering assistance with housing benefit claims, and providing appropriate signposting to relevant support services.


• Conduct initial and regular assessments of potential or existing service users, evaluating risks, needs, and requirements to determine eligibility for the service.


• Collaborate with the Housing Management Team to issue correct tenancies, conduct new tenancy sign-ups, and ensure service users understand and accept tenancy obligations.


• Order furniture and goods for the property to enhance liability.


• Work closely with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards.


• Report repairs promptly, ensuring properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation.


• Maximize rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant experience in housing management and support services.


• Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.


• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing circumstances.


• This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of service users and contribute to maintaining high standards in housing management.

Due to the nature of the service users, you will be working with, you will require an Enhanced DBS for this role.
If you have an existing DBS on the update service, this will be beneficial to your application.
The Package
This is a temporary, Intensive Housing Management Worker ,35 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent..
